YOU can't ONLY a doctor can do this.

Just keep waiting.

Continue to WALK,
Do DEEP KNEE BENDS SQUATS,
BREATHE through the contractions.
Keep drinking water.

HAVE SEX!!! LOL

Call your doctor and BEG him to have you come in so they can break your water!

You poor thing, I know how you're feeling right now, the same happened to me. They burst mine when I was 7cm. So you don't need your waters to burst, just stronger contractions. At this moment you're probably thinking how can they get any stronger!!! I found every time they gave me an internal my contractions got stronger, by the 4th internal I started to dilate. If you can't cope, go back to hospital.

You won't believe me right now, but you'll have forgot all about what you're going through right now in a couple weeks.

Hanging off a door handle in the squating postion is suppose to help, but it didn't work with me, nor did hot baths, but they're alway worth a try. Actually I wanted to kill the midwife after she told me to get my 5th hot bath of the day!

Good Luck!!!!

Your BOW (bag of water) will just break naturally. If this is your first time to deliver a baby, be patient. First time moms usually labor for a long period of time because your body is still adjusting. Don't try to break your BOW manually because if you are not yet in the proper stage of labor, your unborn baby might become predisposed to infection, a condition called premature rupture of the membranes. Your hospital probably sent you home because your cervix has not dilated enough to allow for delivery.

Put into practice all that you have learnt in the antenatal class. If your water wont break and the baby's breathing is distressed then the midwife can use a special wooden sharp instrument to pierce the membrane.
Good luck

In Sex And The City, hopping up and down like a child throwing a tantrum seemed to work. Ruined a perfectly good pair of shoes, unfortunately.

You shouldn't even try to break your own waters it is very dangerous to tamper with that sort of thing! Please don't for your sake and the baby's sake. If you are worried contact your midwife or the hospital!

Rubbing semen on your whatsit is supposed to start labour. It did for my friend within 12 hours she had her baby! Be carefull, good luck and let us know how it goes.
