It can happen, if the intelligent the robots will get its from humans, robots will be savage with its own kind, will be selfish, self destructive, careless, etc. just like humans are right now

I am excited that robots are taking so much of drudgery from our lives
and I hope they'll continue to do that.
I see lots of wonderful things i can do that I won't want a robot for.

That would be better than the body-snatchers that have taken over so many of our families and friends--those evil spirits called drug addiction, sexual perversion, and the worse ones are those that have latched on to our vital organs in the form of so-called incurable diseases.

Machines in general are quite indispensable as it is already.
hard to imagine living in today's world without our dependence on them. To an extent we are controlled by them.
