You're actually in a good position as a Virgin because it gives you a keen perspective on Life that most people who lost their Virginity long ago fail to see.
Sex is a drug.
Like any drug, you get addicted to it because it's pleasurable. The more sex you have, the more you crave it. That's how you get people who have sex who don't even like their sex partners, but because they need their "fix," they'll settle.
Because you're a Virgin, your System is still "clean." You don't have this draw or pull and Lust or Sexual Desire doesn't serve as a pull that influences your behavior.
For example, women get turned off by men that hit on them because they can sense that the reason why the women are getting this attention is because the male is angling toward a sexual encounter.
Normal, sensible women that aren't nymphomaniacs want more than just a one-night stand. They're seeking longevity and stability in a relationship.
The other thing you have to take into account with society is that most young people aren't educated when it comes to how to develop a long-lasting and rewarding relationship.
With all the ads that are shoved in people's face that promote sex, it's hard not to think about sex and focus on the other aspects of a relationship.
When you're a Virgin, the sex aspect is practically removed from the equation. If a woman has sex with you, great. If she doesn't, that won't bother you either.
If you watched the movie "40 Year Old Virgin" with Andy (Steve Carell), there's a scene where he and Trisha make a pact not to have sex until the 20th Date. Trisha is telling Andy that it's going to be really hard not realizing that Andy's a Virgin.
However, Andy is quite fine with that because it removes the pressure of having to perform as a male when it comes to the pressure of having that first sexual encounter.
Sex isn't supposed to be an important factor in relationships. We simply live in a society that promotes sex so it becomes a factor.
I play Chess. If I only sought out females that play Chess and made Chess the cornerstone of our relationship, then we'd be talking about Chess, playing Chess, having wild and kinky Chess Fests all the time.
You have people who are really into art. If two people who are both art connoiseurs that love going to museums, both of them will talk about art and art will be a major focus in their relationshp because they make it so.
The reason why sex is so popular is because it's pleasurable and everyone knows how to do it. People learn more about sex and all the different positions of sex. Also, sex is physical and doesn't require the exchange of words. So if Communication isn't your strong point, you can just engage in sex.
However, if you ask peopl what transitive and intransitive verbs, active and passive voice, and the Fundamentals of Effective Communication, most people couldn't tell you because it doesn't interest them.
Because it doesn't interest them, it's difficult to find people who share the same interests and where that becomes a main focus of the relationship. There are some pockets of the community that luck out and are like that, but the majority of the population focuses on sex because it's in the media. It's everywhere.
It sounds like you have the ability to communicate for hours and can carry on a decent conversation with people, especially of the opposite sex. That's because you're unhindered by sex.
Some people think Virgins are childish, but that's because Virgins are like children in the respect that sex isn't a part of children's lives. When you talk to childre, you don't have "adult" conversations with them about sexuality.
Normal children just talk about topics that don't have to do with sex. Sex isn't part of their lives. That's why if you sat with a child, you could talk to the child for hours on end and the subject of sex would never come up because normal society has established that adult topics are not to be discussed with children.
That's why parents and adults are uncomfortable instructing their children about sex or never know when to have that discussion with their child because no one ever taught the adult. Usually the adult or parent learned on their own or from what they heard at school when they were growing up.
The emotional connection is definitely important. Once again, we come back to the unique insight you have a Virgin, which sets you apart from others and will serve you well in future relationships.
Personally, I think it's a sign of maturity when an individual can carry on a steady conversation and where it doesn't have to revolve around sex. It's like people who can carry o a conversation without having to swear or use profanity.
They have a diverse vocabulary and can articulate their thoughts clearly and concisely without having to use vulgarity. That would be like talking to someone and never having to bring up the subject of sex.

No it's not really important in a relationship per se. However, it is important because every living being is here because of the act of having sex (sexual intercourse). Because society is composed of people, that becomes the reason for the attachment.Through the ages and into present day this attachment needs to be so civilization can survive. But now, with the over abundance of people sex has been reduced to what you just mentioned-rampant. Something bought and sold, just another commodity with no meaning, magnified to infinity through the circus called the media.
Seems bleak like life maybe isn't worth much. To some maybe it's not. Where now that human life can now be totally removed from the planet this may be the reason for this rampant fury. This uncontrolled urge to maybe beat the doomsday clock.
You ask isn't the emotional connection with someone can be most important?
And there are certain kinds of emotional connections like there are kinds of emotions. The people you talk of at the university you attend have found one emotion. And that is lust. No need to form any type of lasting bond with their partners except to have sex. Sex just for the sake of having sex. No commitment nothing more real than fast food. So there is no reason to even like any particular person.
Only one emotional connection can rise above any and all of humanity's base animal funk.
Love. Somewhere along the line it seems forgotten. But not really. The only connection that will save us from ourselves. Here is the ability to talk to someone(that special someone) for hours endlessly. Nothing is more important.
The divine power where 2 souls merge as one or millions can unite. Where the light fills the dark. What ever you do not understand, know that this connection is the source of the enlightenment you seek.

Its simply because it is one of the 3 or 4 basic needs of man, the others are food, andshelter. The sexual drive of a male throughout history has been the strongest of the primal urges, and the reason is very simple, to reproduce, to bring forth another to continue a bloodline. Just like the cavemen, and kings, for example, they had many sexual relations with any number of women in order to have a male baby as a direct heir to his throne. On and on throughout history the desire to procreate has been the strongest of males needs. That is why women complain so much today that men are only interested in sex in a relationship, in a sense, it is true, but it has been that way for thousands of years. Women have done a far greater job at evolutionary adjustments than men have. Women have adjusted to working, being able to survive without a male, etc.. however, men on the other hand are basically the same, in a basic sense of the word, as they were in neanderthal days, we work, ( hunt ) we strive to protect our families, ( protection ), and we mate, ( reproduce ) in neaderthal times, those were the 3 and only 3 things that men provided, or were needed for, women or the females did everything else. I hope this helps you.

you will understand someday .it's a natural drive instilled in every creature on earth. in humans it happens to feel good physically but also in a way you must experience to understand. don't ever let some warped bible banging idiot ever make you believe that its a sin or that its perverse or dirty. you must put allot of effort into making it dirty or kinky or whatever . it's an intenseget together it can be a loving thang or it can be fun or both or perverted or whatever or however you want it to be. youll see. perversivness is usually a bad action someone has taken. but like my last girl i was with 8 years . she was perverted. it was awfully scawwy; she was sompn else. hmmmmmm hmmmm !!!i liked it allot. 8 years worth. when she was'nt a pervert she was a great woman.shes probably my best friend now..i hate to put a christian up so high being as they put everyone so down for living. but . shes a christian too. one of the few people you can trust entirely.

My basic rule for virgins is this. If you haven't had sex yet then you haven't found the right person to do that with. So, just wait till you find the person that is completely and utterly right for you.

Because they think with the brain in their pants instead of the brain in their head.
You are a wise girl and don't ever fall into that sex trap in order to fit it with the rest.
