Where I live you are allowed to donate blood every 3 months and you give 1 pint at the time.

You can donate blood every 3 months with amounts ranging from 250cc to 500cc of blood. Red blood cells have a 120-day lifespan but on average, only about 90 days thus the reason why you can only donate blood every 2-3 months to ensure that you have enough reserves left. Remember, it's not only your blood volume that counts, but also your RBC's functional capability.
Before donating blood, tell your physician or medical technologist of any medical disorder that you might have.

Every 3 months. Generally, a single blood donation takes around 400-420ml of blood from your body. Take lots of fluids up to the point of donation, and take a hearty meal b/4 that. After the donation, drink lots of fluids to help replace the plasma volume. Your blood cells would begin regenerating themselves straightaway, and takes up to 3 months for full replacement.

The standard for American Red Cross is every 57 days, and the amount is one pint. If you wich to donate plasma, you can do that 2-3 times per week depending on your local plasma center's policy.
