I loved the whole story. But if I had to choose, the end of the second movie (with Gollum looking all evil) and also the end of the third movie, when it was all over. I was crying when Sam and Frodo were crying. =(

Wow, there are such rather some scenes that i might desire to be certain on... i think i could say the top of the Moria series, after Gandalf falls and the corporation emerges from the mines - the putting and cinematography, and the music...that scene seems to catch the very essence of unpolluted loss and grief. additionally, the section whilst Barad-Dur falls and Aragorn pauses with tears in his eyes. The music is between the terrific soundtracks i will probably ever hear, and my existence revolves around music. Howard Shore created middle Earth with those soundscapes as much as Peter Jackson and Tolkien himself.

LOTR is very much like my life, not in the literal sense but the balance of good and evil, of failure and sucess the battles we fight in life etc. I can compare my life to every event taken place on middle earth. The true undserstanding and deeper meaning of life.
Well id say my favourite scene is in the Two Towers, city of Osgiliath when Frodo almost gives up saying "I cant do this" what should i hold on to? What is my motivation for this sucidal task ive undertaken? Sam really explains the meaning of life in that context and says "That theres some good in this world, and its worth fighting for"!
Its like in life, theres always a glimmer of hope and many a time certainty of failure, but thats your chance, take it!

Probably the WHOLE thing...but if you want to get specific, I like all the inner conflicts faced by the likes of Aragorn. But in the movie...its REALLY cool in the two towers when Legolas uses like a board to kind of skateboard down the stairs in Helm's Deep.

in the second movie, where Aragorn returns to King Theoden, throwingopen the big gates with his arms.. a symbol of his power and his faith in the struggle for good..

I like the scene in the 1st movie when arwen passed her necklace to aragon on a bridge in rivendell at night, symbolising that she was willing to give up her eternity life just to be with him.

Either the bit when Aragorn and Arwen are in the garden at Rivendell and she gives him her necklace........or when Gollum/Smeagol is talking to himself in his reflection in the lake, when he is trying to decide whether to kill Frodo and Sam.
