i try to concentrate when my prof's saying something, even though it's really bloody boring, then i do my school stuff during 30 or 60 minute breaks, so at night, i don't have to do anything, apart from maybe watching tv, or answering questions here.

I studied engineering and basically I fell into the following routine:
9-5 was for attending classes and labs and going to the gym/other activities. 7-10 was for reading or working on assignments. About two weeks before midterms or finals I made up a study schedule that blocked out an even amount of time for each course. If I thought a course was particularly hard I'd add more time for that course and drop hours from an easier course. After 10 was for doing other stuff, leisure reading, seeing my girlfriend, going out. Friday night, Saturday morning, Sunday morning and evening I usually took off, but sometimes there was too much work to not work all through Sunday.

If I took classes with readings I usually tried to do the reading before the lectures. This helps with engineering too, but seldom was I able to stay on top of all the engineering reading.

I try my hardest to prepare before class by reviewing my book, reviewing notes after class. I designate maybe and hour or 2, depending on the class, to a couple of subjects each day. I have to take breaks throughout the day because you start to get very frustrated without any breaks, I do make flashcards and take them with me (my husband gets annoyed sometimes...lol). But honey you are going to have to really discipline yourself and do it. Studying and making it stick to your brain is the key. Keep studying until it sticks....

Study habits...
I need to have thick skin when dealing with situations that are not in my favor. To motivate myself, I just look at my dog or just play with my dog because he is a natural destresser. To help finish the project... quit complaining and put your head face down to your work.

Socially, I make sure i plan breaks or i end up exploding in stress. The key that makes me survive is just do it. Don't complain and do the job at hand.
