here are the must do's:
1.20minutes exercise every day,start doing light stuff increase intensity as desired
2.portion control,only fill plate/bowl two thirds
3.no salt,sugar,margarine/butter,only low fat milk
4.multigrain breads only
5.trim all fat from meats before cooking,take skin off chicken too.
6.FEEL GOOD ABOUT DOING IT
here are some support tips
you can eat anything you want in moderation
fruit and veg fill you up so you don't feel like snacking
eat 3 good meals a day and 3 snacks
oats and any nuts get you started in the morning better than anything else
eggs should only be boiled or poached 2 aday o.k.
fish chicken veal are the best meats for weight loss
cottage cheese low fat yogurt same
rice only 1 cup cooked a day
pasta/spaghetti 2 cups cooked a day

You won't loose weight fast any way. Any safe way that is. And if you do you will gain it all back. If you go at a rate of about 1-3 pounds a week then you should be able to get it off with little effort and have no problem keeping it off. Don't diet. Change the way you eat and exercise. Search online you will see websites that will help you calculate what your calorie intake should be to maintaine and or reduce your weight. If you cut calories by half and exercise the other its easier. Remember that nothing happens overnight. I lost about 15 pounds when I got pregnant. Its coming back, slowly, but it took almost that much for me to really notice a difference. Go by how your clothes feel and how you feel rather than what the scale says. Good Luck!

1st off, do not diet. Modify your eating. Eat smaller meals but have 5 about the day. Also eat smarter. Instead of ice cream switch to frozen yogurt. Instead of reg bread, use flax seed, cracked wheat, or a multi grain bread. Do that in conjuncture with free weight strength training. Since strength training boost the metabolism for up to 2 hours after you have stopped working out. Doing after dinner is a good thing. Use light weight so you can get the cardio thing working. Jumping rope also. Once every 2 weeks go heavy. So heavy you can only do four to six reps and only one to 3 sets. I can bet in no time you would be in mini stretch dress shape.

Here are some of my tips: 1. Drink plenty of water, 2-3 liters a day 2. Eat breakfast. 3. Cut down on carbs and sugars. For breakfast, try oatmeal with an egg. For snacks, eat yoghurt and nuts. Your lunch and dinner should be smaller than your breakfast. You can eat as many veggies as you like. Fruits are good too, but consume them in moderation because they contain sugar. For exercise, cardio is the most effective for losing weight. It takes 3500 calories to burn one pound of fat, so you would need to burn 1000 more calories than you eat to lose 2 pounds a week, more if you want to lose 3 pounds a week. Hope that helped!
