All countries that either still are members of the British Commonwealth of Nations, or were part of the British Empire, play cricket, if not as their national sport certainly as one of the two or three most prominent sports in their country. The main cricket-playing countries all play each other at the "major league" level; the games are called "test cricket" matches (lasting 6 days per game, they usually play 5 or 7 games every few years; of course a game can also last only a couple hours or a day, depending on the level of play). Countries that play test match cricket are: England, Australia, India, Pakistan, and the West Indies (Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, and a few others).
