Obviously. Anyone who disagrees with Bush the Decider automatically becomes a liberal.
It's a two party system. Bush-ites or Liberals. Hasn't that been made clear to you by now from the many posts on this forum?

How did the Pentagon ever THINK that the war was gloomy?

Ha! No! As someone with experience there, and who knows plenty of career officers, they are about as conservative as they come. But that doesn't mean they should gloss over reality. Iraq is on the precipice. Does that mean what we did was wrong? No, it just means that anytime a nation undertakes such a massive and complex task as we have, there will be no shortage of difficulties. Look at what we had to do to Germany - bomb Dresden, kill civilians on a wholesale level, destroy civilian infrasctucture - to subdue them

They are always complaining that the administration sets expectations too high. Traditionally their estimates have been more conservative that the administration in power at the time.
