Wheter to reach forward and kiss u or not. Cos they totally are risking the possibility of rejection, and then their ego and pride would be lost at least for that period of time.

Male or female, all human beings are concerned with image. Even, say, a priest, believe it or not.
All the things that people have listed before all have to do about image. Someone mentioned the stereotypic male member argument. I believe it takes... two inches for a man to successfully impregnate a woman (probably less but I remember two inches), so having a very small member means absolutely nothing, yet men will get ancy about it because they feel that their penile size reflects on their image.
Another example; a priest might cast away their concerns over the image to the people around them, but they are greatly concerned with their image before their respective religious figure, and might get insecure if they think that that image has been shaken, for whatever reason.
People get insecure when they feel their image is threatened. That's the basic and most simple way of looking at it.

I think they are insecure about alot of the same things as we are. They just don't like to admit it.
Many men feel they should be the provider ie. making more money than their female counterpart.
It depends on how and who they were raised by. Cultural beliefs can have an impact on many things as well.

Rejection, Making a good impression...Being sure they want to be in a commited relationship. Are they providing for their family well enough....Same types of insecurities just different gender.

Their butts, and their chest. If they don't got a six pack alot of times they keep their shirts on.... around women.

samo samo, anything you think about can cause insecurity.
that's why I practice thinking about the things I can change not the things beyond my control. then I don't feel insecure. thanks for the thought and 2.

think sports, knowledge, money, looks, cars, if they dont have that i guess they are definitely insecure
