90% of questions asked are so completely trivial that there's no way the person asking it could be dumb enough to not already know. So why mod down funny responses? To me, its the only thing that keeps this service interesting.

I agree about humor helping to make the service interesting. But some people just don't have a sense of humor.
On the bright side, I've seen requests for it, and claims that the funniest answer will get the points for best answer. The trick then is to figure out what will be viewed as funniest. Never won one of those, but got honorable mention.

I attempt to price the solutions and questions. If they're foolish I provide a thumbs down. There are occasions that I do not do some thing on account that I am impartial to the query to the reply. But I agree I consider there must be extra scores.

When you really know it is a trivial question or shall say sounds like trivial question, you can easily make it a special one by giving away the funniest answer those ten points, like mine.

it's a valid question. some people take life way too seriously. they ned to learn to chill out and relax. we all ned a bit humour in our lives. just been to yank questions!!! wow. how messed up are they.
