Could be your mucus plug starting to come out. Mine didn't come out all at one time, but just like you described. I was a week before my due date, and had slimy discharge on the toilet paper one night at about 8-ish. No cramping, no contractions. Called the hospital and told them about it, they had me come in, wound up with a baby at 12:25 am!

Seriously, I would call your doctor and ask!

PS: I hope I didn't scare you... mucus plugs come out and normally it could be days before you give birth, but I had complications that led to an emergency c-section. Good luck to you!

I think you should go for a check up, I had a similar experience and my baby was still 2 weeks late.
If your water breaks this could be with a gush or a trickle, it depends how much amniotic fluid you have and whether it is the 'fore-waters' (the large volume of fluids in front of the baby's head) or a leak of the 'hind-waters' (the smaller amount of fluid behind the baby's head).
If it's your hind waters that have leaked, contractions may not follow right away because your baby's head may not be applying enough pressure to the cervix. Normal amniotic fluid is strawish-coloured and you may be able to distinguish it from pee because it's smell. If you are not sure, wear white underwear to check the color.
Once your water has broken, there is a risk of infection, so if your contractions don't start naturally within 24 to 48 hours, labour may need to be induced. I agree with the person above, if it is a leak you should still be looked at. I know the doctors don't usually see you until your weekly appt at this stage, but this is definately something to call him about. Good Luck and good blessings.

A due date can be off by as much as 3 weeks. Your doctor will not let you go passed 2 over you expected due date more than likely! I wouldn't be worried. And the discharge I can so relate, I feel like the boy who cried wolf because I am always thinking I am leaking amniotic fluid and I go to the hospital only to be sent home! I am just over 38 weeks right now! But according to my last period my due date should be Tuesday! The doctor says the 14th!

I would go to the doctors and tell them as it could be your hind waters leaking.
