I was just reading on this subject tonight, and from the reading I did...it can take 3-8 days. The egg travels down the folopian tube, meeting the sperm where it can sit for as many as 3-4 days! Then from there is may take 3-4 days to actually reach the uterus and implant.

From the research I have done implantation can occur from 5 - 7 days after fertilization. I have read though that it can possibly occur as early as 4 days.

I have not read anywhere that it can happen that fast. Most sites and books will give a range, but I have never seen anything shorter than about 5 days for implantation to happen. If you are possibly experiencing cramping or light spotting, those things can happen after intercourse.

I believe the average is around 2 weeks after conception.
