I recently visited Cancun about 3 months ago and found it to be fun. I also visited around the Yucatan Pennisula though and if your interested in having fun stay in Cancun. However if you want to learn some culture and history head to places such as Merida, Valladolid, Playa del Carmen. In places such as just listed you still can have fun but you can also see historical landmarks. As stated before if you want to have fun stay in Cancun, you can't beat the night life and the beautiful water !! Hope this helps you !

We love Cancun. We go 1 or 2 times a year. Own timeshares and look forward to going everytime. Plenty to do or not to do. Prices no more expensive than in NJ.
Go to Margarittaville if you love to have fun at dinner!

Cancun is an awesome destination, it has something for everyone, sparkling Caribbean Sea, fantastic beach, ancient ruins, eco tours, night life, shopping, and a resort to fit every budget. They are working hard to not be just a "spring breaker" destination. If you are not a night clubber, all inclusive is the way to go.
