Tough question. The dome sucks even when it's fixed up but the town is a great place for a party. Even after Katrina I am sure it would be a great time over all but domes suck!!!

Not until that city is rebuilt. The focus, and the money, should be on rebuilding peoples homes and businesses that our government, after a year, still has failed to address. I think it would be a slap in the face of every homeless person in New Orleans for them to even consider hosting a SB before a great deal of other work has been accomplished.

I live in the Metropolitan New Orleans area and I would say no. It is an admirable idea but not fair to the city that would lose out. New Orleans' gets more than its fair share of Superbowls.
What I am starting to get really tired of is sympathy. What New Orleans needs to do is get off its a** (i.e., specifically the Chief Chocolate Drop himself) and start rebuilding the city and quit talking about it. You would think that Nagin is going through menopause if that's possible.

It would be a good idea, we have had a lot of superbowls there all ready and it would give the fans and extra reason to rally behind the Saints. I would like to see it rebuilt, I just wish they would move it back a little. The land it is on now is still sinking and will eventually sink under the Gulf taking whatever we build with it.
It was a fun place but now a well located place, we have a chance to undo past mistakes we should take the opportunity.

Despite Ray Nagin, The SuperBowl needs to be played in New Orleans.

If the City is ready to host a Superbowl I would love to see it happen. I don't think New Orleans will be ready for that size of an even for a while though.

No. Putting on a huge event is the last thing the city needs right now. Its infrustructure isn't ready. remember that it used to have the highest crime of all cities in the country. Those elements are still there which would make it a bad place ot have the superbowl.

No i dont want it there anymore. New orleans is not Superbowl City. Why should they always have the big game. The city of NO has hosted more superbowls then any other city.

It would be doable and would be a morale booster. The city needs that type of support to help get itself back on its feet. The crime here is no worse than other cities and none of it occurs where tourists go or happens to tourists. Over 90% of the city's hotel rooms are available, and most of those are in the French Quarter, CBD, and Warehouse District.

Good idea - I could get behind that. It might give Ray Nagin something to be happy about too for a change! It has had Mardi Gras all these years, it thrives on tourism, so why not the Superbowl?
