Because it is life and you never get wat you want! half of the time you end up doing things that you don't want to do.

It takes a lot of looking to find A job you can enjoy doing. I gave up a very good Job about a year ago due to a dispute with my boss. It took me a year of landing crap jobs. being screwed over and tossed around before I found the job of my dreams. The job I have right now is just fantastic. I actually get paid to hang around bars and eat out in restaurants.

One of the reasons that is true is that many people just want the reward of the job, not the chore of gaining the skills required for the job.
If you are qualified and have much to offer, but are being held back because favoritism is being shown to others, I'd recomend sending your resume to other companies.
When an opportunity is offered to you by another company, kiss this one goobye.

There are bound to be more things you dislike that like, that's probably why. How many things can you say you'd genuinely enjoy doing all day long?
