Something you wanted so badly at the tips of your fingers and then "poof" it was gone?

Yes, we were supposed to be legal guardians to a 2-year old little boy.
We didn't ask for him, they offered him to us, begged us to raise him,
so we said yes. We hadn't signed any paperwork because we had to wait for the next month to attend guardianship class.
Then out of nowhere the mother and grandmother of the boy changed their minds because they were afraid we'd be "too good" parents and he would stop needing or wanting to be with them. Talk about selfish!
They took him back and refused to see us or take our calls and didn't even give a second thought about what a GREAT life we had planned for him. We are in a position to give him everything he needs, everything he could ever want!
So, now I'm heart-broken and depressed. My only consolations are God and watching baseball, if you can believe that!
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. : (

Hello,Lady...

Yes i have,indeed...
it's like trying to grab hold of something so very light that it could float on air...
As if in a breeze...
I could or would reach for it and "poof"it just barly escapes the grapsing of my outstretched hand...
And it's gone...for now anyway...
But i shall try,and try again...

Thank You
