You might be able to get rid of it, but if u try treating it yourself and it doesn't begin to get better within 7 to 10 days you must see a medical professional. Is your ear pierced in area that has lump? First be sure it is kept extremely clean, clean it with cotton balls dipped in alcohol or peroxide. Then ice it if it has swelling. STOP squeezing it. That can make it much worse. No I-Pod or headphones in/on that ear till ear is healthy. That could be the cause, or maybe not. Alternate icing with warm/hot compresses. Do each treatment for 10 min. at a time about 30 min. apart. And do each several times a day for 7 to 10 days. If it doesn't begin to feel better within 3 days, have a doc check it out. If there's some sort of infection, and you get no treatment, you could lose your ear. Not trying to scare you. Good luck!

Try warm washcloths held on the ear for 3-5 minutes at least twice a day. Only WARM !! Ears are tender and burn easily.
You can warm a washcloth for about 20 seconds in the microwave and while you are holding that one on your ear, warm another in the microwave and continue that for 5 or more times. The warmth increases the circulation and helps alleviate the blocked pores or whatever is causing the acne. Hope this helps. Have fun with the new jewelry :)

Take a cotton bud, dip it in surgical spirits and put some in the front and the back of your earlobes. The spirits will burn off the acne.
