Maybe thy are jealous cause they can't think of such questions lol. Usually when kids pick on other kids they are the ones that really hav low self-esteem but they hide it by being a bullie or or jerk.
I'd say they are the ones missing out.
you don't need friends like that anyway.
try to get involved in something that you enjoy doing and watch you'll make friends there.
PS instead of asking question maybe you could let the person ask a question and you respond to it. You could just make conversation if you are worried about your questions. But don't talk too much OK. Hope this help ya some.

First of all, you need to change the name you used to ask this question . Be honest. There are lots of things you know. You made it to college. Maybe you just need to work on listening skills and work on how you phrase your questions. If it is a question you need to ask, ask it. You may not be paying full attention. So focus, listen and then ask. Someone stated something to me about a week ago and used a word that I had forgotten what it meant. I swallowed my pride and said, "I don't remember what that word means" and being a kind person and an adult, they explained it to me again. Some of your classmates may not be kind adults but the problem may be that you do not think you know anything and they sense that. Lose the attitude. Like I said, you did not get into college by being dumb. If you don't act like you think you are dumb, they will not treat you that way and will go on to harass someone else.

You probably just ask tons of questions that people find annoying. When I was in college there was a guy that asked tons of questions to act superior to everyone including the prof. If you do this just try to think before you speak. Show a different side to yourself, everyone is multifaceted. Or try to ask about anything you are confused about privately with the prof. Other than that, what can you do? If they don't like you they don't. But you can't even be 100% sure of that. Try meeting people outside of your classes or join the debate club.

If you ask a serious question there is no such thing as a stupid question. Asking questions gives us knowledge. I assume that you are going to college to learn new things so just don't worry about what other people say and ask as many questions as you need to.
