if for games/graphic applications, be choosee........
the important things you need to take care of is:
RAM at least 512 MB
HDD at least 120 GB
Processor prefer 64 bit processor of AMD (intel gives lost of heat problem and AMD is good with cool n quite technology)
ATI Radeon graphic card with atleast 256 mb ram.
more than make, configuration is important......
finally choice is yours

"Great Quality"? Never heard of such a company.
DELL - Online order only - I had bad experience.
Acer - Popular, Cheap, Value for money
(HP) Compaq - Popular, Slightly expensive.
Toshiba - Not that cheap, but not expensive either.
Sony - Expensive like crazy!!
Others - Don't even think about them! You'll be cheated with bad quality hardware.

get Dell or HP. They have some good PCs at good prices. Sony makes ok computers and Great Quality makes really bad computers.

if not for games nor graphics, get the cheapest one.
just don't buy one with celeron or sempron processors, so slow in my opinion.
