If you are a celebrity, the media thinks that you have NO private life.The media would like nothing better than to bolt webcams to the heads of every celebrity in Hollywood.Pick up one of those "newspapers" in the checkout line at the supermarket.
I saw one today with Nicole Ritchey on the cover.She was on the beach, and they were talking about how skinny she is.

I think it depends. If the person being probed into has a high public profile and they are asking for credibility, like a politician, for example, then the media has a right to probe. In UK, 2 or 3 notable politicians have been exposed by the media over the last few years, as being thieves, liars, fraudsters and cheats.
Pop stars and film stars aren't so important, but everybody likes to gossip. I think lines should be drawn under their private lives, but then they do put themselves in the spotlight. So what can they expect?
The media probes into peoples lives for 2 reasons.........1.. It makes money for them, like selling newspapers, and 2. Some of the media see it as its moral duty to expose corruption.

Do you know what I would like to see? A newspaper probing into the lives of the the media. The reporters, photographers, editors, columnists .. etc and see how moral their lives are and if they really belong on the moral high ground which they claim.

they don't have the right to probe into a person,s private life but If you are a famous person, the media thinks that you have no private life and they will do anything to achieve info about it.you can read a newspapers and see that.
