Well, I took night classes. But when I had to do a 2.5 hour commute to a job I had once, I was always tired and I'd talk myself into getting up by telling myself that I could sleep for more than an hour on the train. I never slept well on the train, but I got some rest.
By the way I do not suggest anyone commute that far for a job, it makes you feel a bit crazy.
Peace.

Solutions in order what you should try first (if they don't work or you simply can't allow for it, move on to the next). Set an alarm clock, that's the best way. To reduce sleepiness:
1. Try to sleep earlier (at least 8 hours of sleep).
2. In the morning, shower. If still sleepy, splash yourself with cold water.
3. Drink coffee or some other caffeine-loaded drink.

I have a hard time with that. I have a lot more luck adapting my sleep cycle so that I go to sleep earlier. Of course, that puts a damper on some people's fun, or late night studying.

As soon as I get up, I start moving my legs about to get my body active and out of sleep mode. That way then I won't feel like going back to sleep again.
