I ask about them in particular because they are the only royal family I am really familiar with...

Hmmm, dont think these people are from teh UK somehow. Anyway, its quite divided, some people think that they are just using tax payers money to pamper themselves but I think most of us dont have any bad feeling towards them. In the past few year where Harry and William have been in the media, they have proven to be nothing more than your average bloke in his early twenties. I think though that popularity has risen in view of the royal family due to these two boys.

English people follow traditions. Although Queen has no political power, she is occupying a very respectable position in British political system. Monarchs are specially trained for their assignment.
There is nothing to be curious. Queen is highly respected in Common wealth countries.

Personally I love coronation street, and eastenders. What do you think about???? Sorry no answers to some questions. Someone told me a joke about royalty. I thought it was good. There were 4 princes sitting in a club one night and all had a bit of the drink. over rated, over paid, totally unnecessary, have no purpose. should get rid of them and put the money to something worthwhile. imagine how many homeless people you could houes in windsor castle. or maybe turn buckingham palace into a hospital. do i really need to go on?

Maybe... I from H.K so I saw the difference. They r from strict school so many of them think they are better ppl because they got "better"(actually worst) education.
