They're both nice names, but I think the name one would choose would depend upon how it goes with the last name.

Veronica would be vastly preferable to Liza if your aunt or uncle's last name is Riser.

If their last name is Salonica, I would definitely stay away from Veronica at all costs!!

Seriously, stay away from names that don't go with the baby's last, and remember, if the baby's a girl, she may opt to change her last name when she gets married. Just hope that she marries someone who's name won't be a joke.

My friend Bev became B. Russell on various databases when she married. She now has the nickname of 'Sprout'.

liza is too simple and easy to call and VERY common, but i always thought that it was a shortened version of Elizabeth.

However Veronica is better because it is not so common.

Just imagine if there were five liza's in the same class, then classmates may give them new names (like fatty or fatsie, shorty, skinny ) just to differentiate one liza from the other.

However this name might get stuck to her and might become more popular throughout her life.

A name which is different and not so easily heard is always better.

Now that's final. No second opinion. Let your baby be called Veronica.

Veronica sounds a lot more classy and attractive. Liza sounds a bit....trashy.
