This is third time I've asked. I understand military time! Don't explain that. Don't explain how to "fix" my computer to put it on regular time. Don't tell me how to set the time on my clock in the task bar. Don't send me to any websites explaining time zones. I already understand ALL of that.. I just want this single answer from somebody! Is the answer 09:26:43???? I have answered over 1,000 questions, and I only ask a few. Can somebody just tell me what time this would be! I am old and never had the opportunity so many young people have today to learn all about computers. In my younger days, we used a sliderule! We didn't even have calculators. They weren't invented yet. I think it's only fair that some kid or anyone just give me an honest answer to this one question.

What this line means:
14:26:43 -0700 (PDT)

Is that the email was sent at 14:26 PDT, (Pacific Daylight Savings Time). The -0700 is what throws people off, but that's just letting you know that PDT is -7 Hrs from GMT. From there you can figure out that EDT is -4 Hours, which means it's three hours later than PDT.

For this example, the EDT time would be 5:26 PM or 17:26.

No, the answer is not 09:26:43.

At 14:xx:xx, you're looking at sometime in the PM (noon being 12:00:00).

So add 2 hours to get 14, and that makes it 2:xx:xxPM, PDT.

Then add 3 hours for EDT, and you've got 5:26pm EDT......and 43 seconds.

PDT is 3 hours earlier than EDT. So, it would be 17:26:43, or 5:26PM.

The -0700 denotes that it is 7 hours earlier in Zulu Time.

PS. alchemist (the first answer) is totally, totally, wrong.
