I am 40 (I look about 30'ish) and I met this guy a couple of weeks ago, and he's 29. We talk & text message all the time and we've gone out a couple times (I hung out with him for about 12 hours today). He's cool as hell and really great to talk to. (He's a lot more mature than the guys I date that are my age!)
Am I a cradle robber? Guys, if you're that age, would you have a problem dating someone that much older than you?
Keep in mind, I'm not your stay at home Betty Crocker 40 year mama who knits sweaters for her dog. I'm more of the tattooed, pierced, metal lovin', sick sense of humor 40 year old, if any of that makes a difference.

That's two different questions. Perv and cradle-robber. If he's over 18 it's not cradle robbing... but you could still be a perv. :-)
Some people think it worse for a man to date a woman much older than him. While it's okay for a woman to date an older man. I think the folk formula or "Trophy Rule" is 1/2 +7. If you are 40, then you can get away with dating a guy who is 27.
I wouldn't have a problem dating a woman 10 years older than me, I've done it before. But I would not make a serious long-term relationship out of it.

I think it's great. He's almost 30 so it's not like your trying to lure in a kid or anything. And you aren't the old lady type. Anyways, 40 is the new 30. And the big thing is that you said he is mature. If he can handle you I say it's wonderful, just make sure as in any relationship you two are looking for the same thing.

I would have to say NO ....little story to tell ya my mom is over 40 wont give age and she is just like you and got re married to a guy that is 11 years yes 11 years younger than her and there perfect together i say just hang out a few times and maybe slip in your age in a weird cool way if he doesn't care then well i don;t have to say any more.
