Has anyone been on a Kumuka overland trip through Africa - would you recommend booking one?

Starting from South Africa ending in Kenya - what was age group like, how were guides, does price seem reasonable for what you get?

personally haven't but i am leaving in Africa and i meet with them often.
the guides are usually white people with an extensive knowledge of Africa and specially the course.
group age, depends. usually young people below 30. singles (usually girls) and couples. but from time to time i see people of 60.
as you know this is not a "tour" in a sense. this is a life time adventure. you will not have a better way to tour Africa unless you will purchase a 4x4 vehicle and do it on your own.
i think for European/American it is great.
just do not get tempted to have sex with locals. aids is a major problem all over Africa.
by the way you have more than 12 groups that will do the same. not only kumuka.
