I bank with wamu and I recently paid my farmers insurance, I entered the right ACH number but I entered my checking account number incorrectly. Will they still take the money out even though the ach number is correct but the checking account number is incorrect?

The reason im asking this question is because when I checked my farmers account it said "paid". Could it be possible the money was taken out of someone elses account?

i don't bank w/ wamu but my bank can't w/d the money w/o the acct number-the ach or routing number is used by anyone who has an acct w/ that particular bank so i don't see how farmers insurance would be able to get the money

If your bank did not change and your account number has not changed, the bank routing number should be the same. Look at your check. The first 9 numbers should be your bank's routing number, the next numbers should be your check number and the last numbers is your bank account number. When you order a new check when you move, you should check all the numbers at the bottom left of the check. Only the check number which should be the same as the number on the top right of the check changes on all your checks.

That depends. It will be taken out of someone else's account. If it is caught and a human looks at it, they can look up your account number. Call your bank and advise them of what has happened, they can correct it.
