some men want to have sex with kids. society says that is wrong and they are sick.
some men want to have sex with other men. i think that is sick and not normal if you want to put your ding-dong in another mans bum-hole. i know its not hurting anyone, but i dont see it as just a prefrence. i think that they are mentaly ill when it comes to sex. just like child molesters are ill when it comes to sex.
i dont think homosexters are bad people, but i think that the desire to sex men is a mental abnormality.

They used to consider it a mental disorder but then stopped identifying it in the psychologist's DSM diagnostic manual some time ago because the prevalence of homosexuality and homosexual behavior is so common that it could not be called abnormal. I think you're responding to the mental image of anal sex with a male, and you need to stop thinking about it and then the issue will go away for you.

For "you" it would be! It would be perverted because it is not a natural mindset for you. It is just as abnormal for a homosexual to attempt to have sex with a partner of a different gender. By the way all homosexuals do not have annal sex and some heterosexual do. How do you equate sex between two consenting adults capable of making rational decisions as to what is good or bad for them with sex with an immature child?

Pedophiles are sick because they are hurting children for their own selfish purposes.
Homosexuals are hurting no one when they engage in homosexual activities. It's not a mental disorder because it does not interfere with their cognitive functions.
Abnormal would suggest that its a dysfunction. Maybe deviant is a better word. (deviant, not devious). Deviant just means that it doesn't apply to most people, theres no moral implication.
Nudism is considered deviant because most people are not nudists. Homosexuality is deviant because most people aren't homosexual, but that doesn't make it abnormal.
A sickness is when you are impaired or a danger to yourself or others.
A sexual act between two consenting adults is not dangerous (the act itself is not dangerous, i'm not talking about the circumstances such as stds) It's not sick to want sexual satisfaction in a situation involving two consenting adults.
Its normal for someone straight to find a homosexual act kinda yucky, because its not something they find appealing. But yucky doesn't mean its necessarily wrong.

homosexuality might be more of a hormonal problem than a mental one. they cant help it because they have in excess the hormones of the opposite sex, hence the "abnormality" in sexual preference.
but "normality" is relative. as they increase in number, homosexuality can actually be the "norm" in a particular society if they get to outnumber the men.
like you, i DONT think they are bad, either. i have a lot of gay friends and they are really nice people. while i might not agree with their sexual preference, im not in any position to judge them.
i have a lesbian friend who prefers women and actually has a gf. i tried asking her if she's not interested in men and she flatly said no. she asked her doctor about it and the doctor said that she has more male hormones than female ones. i understood her more from then on.

I posed the question about reparitive therapy of gays which is supposed to change them from gay to straight with organizations like Narth. I asked what is this and why does it make people so angry and defensive to mention that there just might be a way to change a willing homosexual back to heterosexual and some of the responses were more like hate geared towards the question and arrogance. Anyway there is a place in California that deals with this it is called Narth www.narth.com

When I took my abnormal psychology course in 1972, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder. It was classified as a sexual perversion. I worked in the mental health field from 1979 through 1999 and there was no new scientific data about homosexuality. It was politics and a strong homosexual lobby that got the American Psychological Association to take it out of the sexual perversion category.
You are absolutely correct, a homosexual or lesbian has a malfunction in their sexual identity brought on by problems that occurred during their psycho-sexual development.

Yeah! But are you serious? Because for years it WAS considered a mental disorder by the pentagon...as homos rose to power, however, that was challenged and, because normal nice people didn't want to offend homos, that was done away with.
