Yes,I was once under the impression that any country with a national lottery was hard up,we have one in Britain,so that gives you an idea of the state of the place, also the money is used for stupid things which possibly affect 10% of the population i.e.opera houses, repair of historic golf club houses, homes for all and sundry non british homeless etc.not to mention gays lesbians and uncle Tom Cobbley and all.

Yes. I have always called it the stupidity tax. It targets the poor.
However, this is a free country. If people want to do something stupid, I believe they should be allowed to do so as long as it doesn't break any laws, damage property, or harm others.
One could make the case that a stupid guardian bent upon donating to the stupidity tax is indirectly harming their children.

absolutely
just a tax?
obviously you are not on the receiving end of the trillions that come in from the poor
it is beautiful - the more you rob them of, the more light you take out of people's lives, by stealing their money, the more they turn to desperate remedies like gambling and booze - it is beautiful
and the suckers have the hardest time getting mad - and if they do, you put them in prison and make buckets of money providing prisons!
it's just great
'the poor man pays for all' - so true, so true - the poor man pays for all my luxury, my superwealth, my superpower, my superfreedom above the law, my complete freedom to rob the poor man!
my complete freedom to punish the poor man for objecting to my theft!
beautiful - magnificent - absolutely immaculate
'the meek shall inherit the earth' - yeah, like the weaker team will win the tug of war - hah!

Did you know that J. Lo's mom won millions on a slot machine at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ a few years ago? A couple of my aunts from Philly were there when it happened.

We by no ability reported that each and every dollar of earnings is going into hiring a clean artwork rigidity. yet while that tycoon has one greater dollar, any action they take with it is going to benefit the financial equipment. they might % to spend it, for this reason increasing the buyer financial equipment and helping agencies advance and hire. they might % to shop it, thereby incomes salary accessible for loans like agency loans, mortgages or motor vehicle loans, each and every of which helps the financial equipment. Or they might make investments it in different agencies or their own, thereby helping agencies advance, substitute into greater aggressive and hire. each and every dollar the gov't takes faraway from the wealthy people, or any persons actually, is one greater dollar which could not be used for those the type you may help the financial equipment advance. replace: till that tycoon takes the dollar out of flow, like stuffing it in a mattress, he's doing between the three issues above, for this reason all of us benefit.
