Good question. Well, my dog is gluttonous in the sense that she could eat a whole turkey if I let her, and she has (she gets her own turkey on Thanksgiving--she is a big dog), and she gets VERY envious if anyone takes her ball or sits on "her" couch.
Pride? Well--she sure is proud of herself after she makes a good catch when the ball is thrown.
Sloth? Well--she sleeps 22 out of the 24 hours of the day, so yeah.
Lust? She's fixed, so no--she is innocent of that one, she hates it when her "boy" friend dogs hump her.
Greed? She doesn't exactly share her rib-bones w/ anyone, so yeah.
Wrath? No, not really--not unless you knock on my door, that really seems to piss her off.
Yeah, we are animals too--and that is probably what the seven deadly sins represent--the "animalistic" side of us. The human side of us strives to rise above this...but why? Because we think we are better than the animals--wait, isn't that pride? Ok, now I'm confused.

Definitely not. Domesticated animals may want to eat more than they should however that is because they are spoilt by humans.
In the wild, animals kill only when they are hungry.
Humans, on the other hand, have the intelligence animals don't but sadly use that knowledge to exploit animals and the environment mercilessly.
We have the power of thought, for good or evil, animals act on instinct.
You decide, given the state of the world, if we act the same. I truly wish we did. Perhaps then, animals would not face extinction from lack of habitat and being subjected to torture and inhumane practices to feed non-thinking meat eaters.

Why do we call people animal names like pig and dog? A pig has a reputation as a glutton. A dog has a reputation as underhanded.
The difference between man and animal is that animals don't have morals.. They don't know bad behavior is bad on the basis of societal wrong. They only know feelings, like hunger, loneliness, etc.,
People understand a moral standard like stealing is bad even though they have a desire to possess or use someone Else's belongings. The same with lying, cheating, etc.,
Leaving aside the religious aspects of our humanity, we have a higher understanding of societal rules without ever having read a Bible or other form of religious instruction.

Excellent question. There was a time that we thought we were better because only we used tools. Then chimps were filmed in the wild constructing "fishing" rods to fish termites out of their holes.
Then we were better because we were the only species to emphathize. Then plenty of film came out showing animals displaying affection, sadness, and empathy. One quick one that comes to mind is the hippo saving the baby elk from the jaws of a crocodile. The baby still dies, even while the hippo tries to get it to stand up.
Animals can be every bit as vindictive as humans, witnessed by those videos of chimps murdering members of other tribes not for food or even for property - simply because they were angry.
Try and tell me we are not animals. Individually, we may be the smartest species on the planet. But as a race, we can be flaming idiots.

Animals do have vices as we do, we are our own kind of animal. That doesn't mean we are in the same category as other species.

all animals experience gluttony. At least would like to. Why do you think dogs beg all the time even after they just ate?
