"Don't even think to do that"
A true friend should never be judged. Think if your friend comes to know that u put him/her to trial your relation may become weaker.

What kind of friend do you want? Do you want people you hang out with to be primarily honest, daring, fun, serious, insightful? I choose people who are close to God. Everything else falls into place that way because they are on the same path I have chosen.

Judgment is a very important part of life. Our well being is entirely dependent upon our judgment of those we choose to hang with, do business with, marry, work with, live with, etc., Don't believe anybody who tells you they don't judge. They have to just to survive. They are deceiving themselves if they think they don't judge.

The verse in the Bible they so often call Christians on, where Jesus said, "Do not judge lest you be judged, for it you judge, by the same measure will your Father in heaven judge you." was spoken to hypocrites who were supposed to be the leaders of the people. The proper application of this verse is, "Judge with a righteous judgment." or do not condemn unjustly, as the pharisees and the Sadducees had been doing.

Seems like 'judging' here might be about conduct/behavior.
How do I judge whether to pick them as friends?
How do I judge a friend's behavior in a situation?
Regarding picking: if a person isn't some kind of real threat (really able to influence me negatively), I'm likely able to be friends.
Regarding a current friend's behavior: I tend to keep in mind their standard for themselves. Each has different way of judging themself, and I'd reflect that in dialogue. I'd also offer my perspective as an aim toward balance (subjective-vs-objective).
In general, friends are friends because of trust, so judgement is p-r-e-t-t-y lenient.

YOU DON'T. Friends don't judge. That doesn't mean that I won't tell them if they're wrong, if I don't like who or what they're doing, or anything like that. All you can really do is let your friend know how they feel about a situation. Hopefully, they'll take what you say into account and move accordingly. If they're too out of control, cut 'em loose! Better all around for everyone. You don't have to worry about saying anything else, and they can be free to act an ***! Hope this helps.

I judge my friends by adding on a new frnd in my list coz old frnd oftenly gets jealoused of this. On doing this if ur frnd is not jealoused n keeps the same attitude as before then this means that ur friend is true n will continue his/her frndship wid u forever & in case of the opposite view of ur frnd then ur frndship wid him is not true let him go or leave u coz this world is very big and on leaving one u'll get many more.

The friends may behave nicely with me but I will judge them their behavior with others.

Someone who's always got your back.
Someone who'll sit beside you with a bottle of vodka and a box of tissues when things are really bad.
Someone who cheers you on when everyone else laughs at you.
Someone who genuinely believes you deserve every good thing that happens to you.
Someone who knows exactly what you mean when you can't put it into words.
Someone whose smiling face lifts your spirits.
Someone who, if you call them at 2.00 in the morning during a crisis, doesn't hang up, but says "I'm on my way".

By their works. Why would you feel you need to judge them anyway though?

a friend is one who will place your wants, needs, desires equally with their own. one who will be as loyal to you are you are to them. if you are able to be there for them as they are to you in times of joy and sorrow then you have a friend. to judge a friend you must first be a friend

I don't. I accept them the way they are. A friend is someone that knows all about you and doesn't care.
