What type of paying gigs are available and what do they typically pay? What could one expect in compensation for a corporate gig/ comedy club booking/ TV appearance?

Comedy club: depends on where you are on the lineup--opening act, middle, headliner or MC--and what kind of club it is and which city.

Corporate gig: again, depends on the gig/company. These have a huge range, anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

TV: If you're booked for a spot on a show, you'd get basic AFTRA fee (about $600), plus anything above that your agent negotiates. Again, it depends on the station/market.

Basically, you work as much as you can at all kinds of gigs.

The reality is not much. Unless you love your work and are willing to gig for free then I suggest you find another job for money.

You better be good, or it's not worth the time.
