I heard from people an easy way to get some dough is to design t-shirts and sell them to boutiques.

Yes it is true, but you have to make enough shirts to turn a profit. Lets say you buy shirts at 5 bucks a pop and your design and screen for $1000. Only selling a couple shirts will result in a loss, but several hundred, now you're turning a profit. This is why they say pay attention in math class.

It could be possible if you have a good business mind.

But you need to ask yourself some questions first?
1) Is your t-shirt unique and cannot be copied by someone else.
2) Is there demand in the area?
3) Do you have enough money to produce enough, especially if demand for the t-shirt increases.
4) Are there rivals already in the areas, if so how big are they (e.g. GAP, Topshop)

Personally though you could get an education and get a good job.

If your name is Donna Karan or Tommy Hilfiger then you will find that it is relatively easy to make your own t-shirts and sell them for a ton of cash.

Unfortunatley for you, I'm willing to bet that you aren't one of them. So potentially you could still make a lot of money by designing and flogging your t-shirts but you'll need to work like a dog to find anywhere willing to stock your products and push your line to make large money.

So... in the beginning of doing something like this, expect to lose money and work very hard. One day, who knows, you might be the next Donna Karan.

I think if you have something different to say and can match it to an Industry, Topic or geographical area.

Here are a couple of Ideas to put on a tee shirt, maybe go to places that rent out canoes or canoe trips or places in the mountain that hike in the woods.

" Paddle faster, I think I hear Banjo Music "

Or maybe something on line for party shops, bachelor parties like"

I checked it out one time because I had a couple of ideas. It is very expensive, especially if you have it done through an internet business. It is also very expensive to make your own bumper stickers through an internet business.

It is an easy way but you have to be careful that you aren't stealing someones logo or idea. You can get into alot of trouble.
