I just turned 50 and I am going to college. I do not think there is any age that is to old. financially it may be tight but loans are a great way to further your education, when the person gets a job then they can pay off the loan.

bottom line is your never to old to learn.
there is a story about an 80 yr old woman who got a degree because that was her dream, its called the rose. Not to sure where you can find it on the web but it is there.

a person too old for college, bel practical financially? there is no time frame for one to be practical financially. from the getgo, when you are aware of what money does in society, you have to be practical and make sure that you get value for your money.

It depends on why you want to go to college. If you want a career that requires a degree, and you can afford it, you're never too old.

If it's just about the money, I guess it depends on how much it increases your earning potential.

Money's important, but so is loving your work.

When you can't afford it? Seriously, when the opportunity cost of working exceeds the benefits for school, then maybe you should think about not attending anymore.
