This is a very frustrating situation to be in. You don't want to take the risk of loosing your friendship and at the same time miss an opprtunity of alife time.
I think it's best to wait and see what's going to happen. Some times it could be an infatuation. After all he is your best friend and you will always be able to fall back to him. If he is truely in love with you he'll make his move. Don't misunderstand him, he could be as lot as you are with his feelings. that happens when two people become good friend and especially when you become veryclose that you can easly open up yourself with that person.
Good Luck!!

If he is truely your best friend and its mutual that you all are just best friends, be flirty back but no further. I had an episode with my best friend and be said our friendship was far more important, than trying to have a relationship. He is still a great friend of mine but my boyfriend of five years has a problem with me going around him and there is nothing going on. Our episode was about eight years ago. its hard because i love my boyfriend so much and care about my friend a whole lot.

What happen to just asking? If he is your friend eh will tell you the truth if you just throw it out there. He will either say no and after a little embarrassment everything will be back to normal or, he will say yes and it could be the start of something awesome. GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!

I think if your best friend is in love with you , That is the most wonderful thing that can happen to you .... Its loveley someone who is close to us , who connects with us and and understands us is actually in love with us.
Please be carefull how you approach the guy.... See how he talks to you whether he looks you in the eye and if you feel disturbed or there is a kind of feeling butterflies in your heart.... Also if he goes out of his way to be with you or help you ...
Like for example , I used to get wet in the rain just to go and see her, save money ,skip meals, and do extra job, to buy for her favorite food, and always be there for her when she cries.
Ofcourse , when she knew that I fell in love with her , she became very cold and rejected me citing studies and wanting to explore her options.
One more thing , I am a strong advocate of best friends turning in to lovers I would like to say this.....
What builds a strong relationship is not the CASH, BMW 'S , Condo's, or Diamond Ring ...... its UNDERSTANDING
Who is better than a best friend to be a lover , who understands you more than anyone else?
Becarefull of Viscious Articles in Magazine's and other books , who say that Best Guy Friends are to be avoided... Because of the ridiculous saying of "Familiarity breeds Contempt"
These writers themselves end up with Men who "pretend" to understand them just for the sake of geting into their pants.. I bet that at one point of time they could have been screaming and shouting at their boyfriends and always crying in the night ... But the worse part , they will go out with the next guy which comes in to the picture who gives the same kind of bullshit only packaged differently....
If only the writer knew how peaceful and secured it would be like to be in a relationship with a bestfriend.
GO for it and ask him who he likes , assure him that the friendship will be still on , no matter what, He's more likely to open up ....
Thank you ,

I can't believe the number of people who ask the same question.
Why can't you guys just ask someone if they like you. Life is way too short and if you don't ask, you might just miss your opportunity.

here is what i told my best friend to do cuz she wasn't sure if a guy liked her or not, i told her to play the Truth game, what you do is you ask him three questions and he has to awnser truthfully and then he gets to ask you three questions which you get awnser truthfully and most likely he will ask who is your latest crush or something like that, but don't just go up and ask him if he likes you it might affect your relationship w/ him and if you like him back just be patient with him chances are he likes you.

if you two are best friends, then just ask him. if might joke around with you and say no, but tell him that you are serious. see what happens, it won't hurt.
