Well it looks like Mr. Cutcliff is going to make a huge difference and probably save Fulmer's job in addition to making the Vols a real contender in the SEC East. I'm an Auburn fan and after watching the Vols destroy Cal, I'm glad the Vols are not on our schedule this year. Of course, there could be a matchup if both teams win their divisions. I think it may be premature for UT to be thinking national championship this year (as it would also be for Auburn), but for Vol Nation last night's game must have been mighty sweet. Congratulations to you all for a fantastic showing in your home opener, it looks like it will be a very nice year for the Vols. The only tough looking road game on the schedule looks like at Georgia Oct.7. Home games against Florida, Alabama, and LSU now look winnable. I hope Mr. Cutcliffe is getting a lot of credit for this resurgence and I think he probably is because the UT football fan is very well informed. Good luck for a very successful season.

Your vols are very freakin good, they will have a tough time making it through the SEC undefeated but if the first game was any indication they have a reasonable shot at a BCs berth. That is a long way from the 5-6 from last season, must feel good on rocky top.

I am tickled to death the VOLS pulled off the win. I am a diehard ALABAMA fan, but I do love to see the SEC continue to be a dominant powerhouse in college football. If there is ever an SEC team to play outside of the conference, I want to see an ***-whooping never before seen by the other team. Of course, come Oct. 21st, hehehehehehe, it is on. I will not make one mistake I made last year though. Tennessee fans are very hardcore. While in Gatlinburg last year, the weekend of the ALABAMA game, I of course wore my ALABAMA colors and got alot of evil eyes. I also got woke up at 6 am to the tune of ROCKY TOP played on church bells directly outside my hotel room. Great fans, but not a good place to be when you are an opposing fan. Anyways, way to go SEC.

They looked quite impressive against a supposedly top ten team. Sports writers never do it get straight with the PAC-10.
When playing outside the conference, I am always glad to see any SEC team win.
Good move on Fulmer's part to bring back Cutcliffe and also restore discipline.
I'm an LSU fan but glad to see Tennessee has its legs back under them. I always like the conference to be a strong one.

Looks like someone sat Ainge down and smacked him around pretty good, because he sucked last year. Cal looked absolutely horrible.
They're obvioulsy not as bad as last year, but it's too early to tell. Season really starts in two weeks for UT, when Florida comes to town.

ainge was impressive. he is their key to a good season. he's been so inconsistent since he's been there. they looked good although it was against a PAC-10 team. no defense in that conference outside of USC.
