I was wondering if anyone knew if pokemon is still popular in Japan. I mean because it came from Japan, And pokemon stuff is till for sale here. I mean who buys it? then I thought maybe people that move here from Japan(I'm not atall being racist, I'm just wondering.) It's just that i dont know anyone one who still likes it.

I don't know if Pokemon is still popular in Japan or not. I never really got into it. I live in the USA. I know that they still sell the cards and games, as well as clothing and other collectibles. I think that it has kind of phased out though. I see more Yu GUI Oh (or however you spell it) stuff than I do Pokemon. I tell you what I wish was more popular again is Magic The Gathering. I loved to play that game when I was younger. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question better. You could try asking it in the Japan section of Yahoo Answers.

Sorry, as you know Japan is one of the trendiest places in the world. They move on quick. Pokeman is not in style now, it is over. Give it up, kids always have the next big thing going on, every minute.

pokemon isn't the only anime in japan.
i'm sure people still follow it, but it wasn't
much of a trend. it is sort of like
reality tv to americans.
