on the whole every time I've changed jobs, I've had mixed feelings.
I've never been in the situation that I hated things so much I had to quit. When I did quit, it was because I wanted to expand and have new opportunities. In my current career, I've worked for 8 different companies and I've been at my current job for 4 years... That's a record.
But leaving also means leaving behind friends and people from whom you've learned as well as taught. There is a familiarity with the old job and the new one is unknown and can certainly seem scary.
You can worry about things like what will people expect of you, will they like you, will you hate the new job and wish you'd never left the old one...
But it has been my experience that there are great people everywhere and every job I've ever had has always turned out to be a great situation for me.... So far anyway.
Good luck, I think you will be just fine

No it felt like it was a load of my chest . My job shouldn't have been but it was very stressful. I am now a stay at home mother of a 2 year old and 8 month old and I love it. I would find something else to get involved in, to take up your time so you wouldn't feel depressed. Enjoy the time you used to spend working doing something you really love.

depressed? No. I quit because I don't like the people/place/job. Why would you be depressed?

If you quit your job there is no reason to be depressed, unless you really got fired.

If it depresses you, maybe you should not quit.
When I quit I was happy for weeks. Really happy.

I felt guilty, but I learned that every company just sees you as a tool. Don't worry, it should feel like a relief!
I'm not sure how your previous job was like for you, but there were jobs I liked and jobs I didn't like, but it's still empowering to quit even without a 2 wks. notice.

If it was a great job, yes, I'd be depressed for a few days max.
If it was a crxp, I'd be partying the very same day I quit.

On a roller coaster. At the beginning, I was very moody. My friends reached out to me and it helped to put my feelings into reality. And now I make weekly goals to focus on my job search. Good luck!

I just quit my job Friday. I wasn't using my skills that I went to school and got a Degree for. So, it wasn't hard on me at all...More like a relief.

I left employment some time ago and i found it quite tough to survive on my own at first. Yes, fear, uncertainty, doubt will be your dreaded companions at times, but when you start to think again, maybe you can survive on your own. I don't know your way but i did it my way.
Good luck friend, i understand how you feel!
