Well, an advocate is someone who promotes and vox is a "human voice." So let'sdo some analyzing....

a. Avert is to turn away. Vert is green vegetation that can serve as a cover.
b. Police are protectors. Pole has many meanings... a long cylinder, a verb meaning to hit.
c. Martin s a bird, a swallow with a deep forked tail and long pointed wings. Art is the expression of something beautiful.
d. Reckless is without care. Less is fewer.

I would have to choose c. Because art is the expression of the bird's beauty. Compared to vox is the expression of the advocate.

I'm not promising I'm right, but that's the best pattern I can come up with.

Try C; vox is a form of vox and it's in the middle of the word, but not a root.

i don't think it has anything to do with what the words mean.
"vox" is almost in the word "adVOCate," but not quite. all the options listed are actually in the first word, except b. pole is almost in police, but not quite. i'd go with b.
