okay people nowadays are saying it's not wrong for people to be promiscuous. how is that not wrong? Condoms are not 100% safe. People loose their spouses to promiscious people. Basically, these teenager said it's okay to be promiscuous as long as it makes them happy.

it's sad how kids are having sex at such a young age. being promiscuous is not awesome. people think birth control protects all...but they don't think about std's.

just because your promiscuity leads to you losing your wife, does not mean that everyone's promiscuity is synonimous with lack of discipline for someone else.
Everything is a choice, if you choose to practice safe sex or unsafe sex...that is a totally different topic than the ethics of monogamous sex.
Sex is sex, why sugar coat it? Why hide sex behind a big velvet curtain and tell people no you can't pass beyond the rope, when the human genes crave to procreate? I honestly do not understand the whole purpose of denying someone the benefits of sex just because some one else is a prude and they are dictating to another how they should live their life.
Just because it might discust you, does not mean it is absolutely wrong. Most relationships are dependant upon sex, without sex both participant s have no idea what to do. And as long as it is kept in secret and shame, they will never know what to do until they are locked in a life long contract....and what happens when after the couple is married and contracted to a union, and then the man decides sex is meant to be rough and unpleasant to the woman? She ends up with infections and pain. And if the woman has no clue how to preform her side of it, then they both will get bored at some point or another. Boredom is the killer of a relationship, no matter how long the coupole has been together, if one or the other gets bored they will leave to seek out new adventure.
Not to mention is actual advice from doctors, without sex the human body becomes ill. Look it up.

Not sure who's saying that but I disagree. It's one thing to be sexually open but to sleep around is dangerous. Some people I know have agreed to be in open relationships where they are allowed to sleep with other people. My take on that is as long as everyone is honest and safe and o.k. with it then it is thier choice but the more people you sleep with condom or no condom the more risk you take. They say it's like having sex with everyone that person has slept with so let's say a very low estimate of two people per person so if you sleep with two people you've really slept with six. Just food for thought. You don't need to be sleeping around to have an open mind about sex. Plus just because someone else chooses a certain lifestyle that doesn't make it "cool" to just imitate that. i also think a lot of young girls think it's "hot" to be bi-sexual or sleep around so they do it. Not to please themselves or because it is truly who they are or what they want but because they think it will make them more appealing. The truth is it will bite you in the *** later on. Just be true to yourself be safe and remember that monogomy is cool too.

Because no one wants to say stop... this isn't right. The media has made it so being promiscuous is cool and waiting/abstaining or single partners just isn't cool anymore... And soooo many young people look to tv/movie/music stars on how to act ...a lot of parents arent instilling good values and discipline in their kids...

No it is wrong to be promiscuous,
or at least that is how we all feel, but are too afraid to say it because we are afraid of taking people sexual freedom away.
what makes you happy is not really right, is it?

What I noticed from my sociological observations is that most parents don't care or are too tired to care from working all day. I always believed that children (grown or ungrown) are a reflection of their parents. If the parents don't care or the parents don't guide them then their action is a reflection of lack of guidance or lack of love.
