Probably it started when men owned their wife. Now it's tradition.

Dont have to but its alot easier. When It comes to signing stuff, a mr and mrs works. Plus when kids come along what will they have for the last name. And it traditional, dating WAY back in the B.C.- When a woman from one country would be known has Girl from Country A, she then gets married and in known has Girl from Country B.

Because they just follow tradition. Some women prefer to hypenate their last name with their husband's name. For example, if a woman's last name is Henderson, and her husband's last name is Smith, then they would say Henderson-Smith. Personally, I don't like it, and I would never do it myself. Then again I'm on the other side of the railroad tracks...

Because the proper way is for a woman to join a man in marriage and not vice versa. Liberals, or course, will disagree with this, but they're the reason the world is in such a mess and divorce is nearly 50 per cent.

"I now pronounce you man and wife" was the formula for success for centuries. When it became "husband and wife" thanks to liberals and feminists, that's when the family became destroyed and we're losing our country because of it.

Now I know that liberals won't appreciate my saying this, but I nevertheless say it according to my right of Freedom of Speech.
