If traveling at the speed of light means time stops 4 you does that mean that traveling twice the speed of light make you travel backwards in time?

No, because the same theory that says time slows down as you go faster, approaching zero as you approach the speed of light, says that you can't go faster than the speed of light.

So you can either believe that you can go faster than the speed of light or you can believe that time slows down towards zero as you approach the speed of light. You can't believe both.

It's like saying "If I painted everything blue, what would a red ball look like?

I don't think you can ever go back in time and change events, even if you travel faster than light. All you can do is slow time down. For example, everything we see on Earth now happened millions of years ago in space and we only see stars exploding now even if it exploded millions of years ago because the light from it has to travel such a long distance to get to us. But can we stop the star from exploding? (I know that's impossible anyway) No, because it already happened millions of years ago.
