For the PILL to be effective you have to continue taking it for several months BEFORE and AFTER you have sex!

The PILL is not a one time fix all thing! YOU should ALWAYS use condoms NO MATTER if you are on the PILL or NOT!!!

If you're on the birth control pill, and you're using it for sex, you have to take it every day at the exact same time that you started, and you can't miss taking a pill. I'm not sure for how long you have to do that though. You can try and google it to find out. I do know that if you have been on birth control for a year or so, you won't need to take it anymore when having sex for a while, but still use condoms. That may vary with each person, however.

As long as your having sex you need to be on the pill constantly unless you would like to become pregrant. If you want to become pregrant you will get off the pill it usually takes about a week to get out of your system unless your on Deproverea and then that can take about a month or so.

Your need to continue to take it each day of each month until you have stopped having sex for 3 to 6 months. But remember if you are going to restart being sexually active, you should have been on the pill for at least 2 to 3 months to have that 99% protection of not becoming pregnant.
