how far is this ecw thing really going to go?

If we're lucky (at least those of us that go back far enough to remember the real ECW) it'll go long enough for them to shift a little back to the older style...impossible to go all the way back, but as a long-time ECW fan I'd like to see it...depends on ratings and whatnot, but if they've already been picked up for a year, at least Sci-Fi has some faith...and I agree with the answerer that points out the discriminating nature of ECW fans...if you're going to appear on an ECW show, you'd better be able to work up to ECW standards (and lots of WWE wrestlers/sports entertainers just can't)

The New ECW is amazing, and i hope it goes far. The ECW fans have always been known to bash SPORTS ENTERTAINERS and praise WRESTLERS. Sports Entertainers - Batista, Ric Flair, Big Show, Hulk Hogan, etc. Wrestlers - Chris Beniot, Eddie Guererro, Rey Mysterio, Dean Mileanko, etc. ECW was where Lucha Libre got its start in America. If it wasnt for ECW, there'd be no Juventud Guererra, Konnan, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Guererro Family, No Rey Mysterio either. ECW changed wrestling forever. The fans are the same fans they had then, and are gonna do the same things they did then. BASH! its their nature. I thought it was effin hilarious when they were booing Batista and Big Show the whole match. AND THEY WERE RIGHT! it was the "Same Old Sh!t". It was the same match they could have seen on Raw or Smackdown. Thats not what they pay money to see. They want ECW - EXTREME Championship WRESTLING. Neither one of those guys, Batista or Big Show, was Extreme that night. i actually like Big Show as champ in ECW. I think it makes sense. ECW is the Best wrestling show on TV right now. anyone who thinks other wise, doesnt know anything about wrestling. But they may love Sports Entertainment more.

ECW does suck but you know what they better watch out because ECW is just a third string line of the WWE, i mean vince still owns them and at any time he can do whatever he wanted to, but i did hear about the new contract that ECW got for 2007, and that does really suck but i still dont think they will last too long

ECW is gay. I can't believe the way they acted to Batista iin his match with Big Show, and Cena at One Night Stand. They even disrespected 16 time World Champion, Ric Flair. I think at Survivor Series Smackdown and Raw should form to make Team WWE vs Team ECW, then they will realise that they are all a bunch of fat talentless h*mos with no c*cks

I really don't like ECW. Especially their fans. They're so selfish and only out to help their own show. Did u see how they were against Batista?? Dat wuz horrible! It's like if another wrestler isn't from ECW they automatically hate u.

I think it'll do well. I mean, it's not the original, but they have RVD, Sandman, CM Punk, Test, and Sabu. I think they'll pull through once Heyman is ECW booker again.

I dont know really, sometimes when i watch it and there is a good show there i think it will last but when i see a shitty show I dont know. overall i think it was better before vince owned it i think they probably will run for about a year or so and things will start going dead because its not the original and no one can beat the original

they just got a new tv deal through 2007, so as it stands, it'll be around for atleast another year.
