Finally a good question I have seldom seen asked, scientific explanation, humm, well my best guess would be the reasons I like it, I feel calm around the color blue, happy, could skip along. How many songs have you heard about blue skies, what about poetry, I would say over the eon's of evolution we have it embedded in our DNA somewhere deep that we equate blue with a perfect sunny day, not stormy or bad weather, plus how do you feel when you see a deep blue ocean, most feel awe and calmness. Blue means everythings cool.

blue naturally gives us a calm feeling, as it occurs during good weather (blue sky) and where there is water.

yes, it has something to do with the light wave length...and our eyes...i think the human eye lets in that wave length more or something..i know it isn't an answer, but it is the best i got.
