Well, some of those types are lost in their own bubble and don't realized they are so bad off until it is pointed out to them, like my son. Others, the ones I usually run into, simply feel they are better than others and that they deserve better treatment. I personally love telling them they are very wrong in any way I can. Humanity still exists, just in less and less humans. Good question!!

Because they are imperfect and can not face reality.
They do not want to admit, even to themselves that they make mistakes, grow older and will eventually die.
Hon, if they take themselves out of the gene pool, then the children born from humble parents will have happier lives.
Consider their self-centeredness to be a blessing to the rest of mankind and if children are born with this gene in the furture, we can call them throw-backs.
