Do women stay with men who are emotionally and physically abusing.. Is it fun to walk into a rock time after time after time after time... What are you thinking? This time it would be better? (Walking into a rock a second time will have a different outcome?!).

The expression should be walking into a wall not a rock. Most women are insecure.. And basically, we have the nurturing nature and ignorance hoping that that guy would change his ways. That's what happened to me . My second husband was emotionally and psychologically abusive towards me. He was a control freak. I let him ruined my life. I became literally a basket case after he left and divorced me. A high school graduate controlling a smart, pretty woman with a graduate degree. As i reflect on it now, it was a
devastating, humiliating and a totally dehumanizing experience. And more so, because i let it happen. Thank God, he's out of my life.but not before he cleaned out the bank accts.

Because nobody wants to stay alone and those kind of women think that they will never find better than what they have. So they stay in abusive relationship thinking that thing's will change.

Because these women have been taught by the many voices in their life that they do not deserve better, and that they would not be able to survive without him. They need help to build a strong enough self-esteem to escape the physical and emotional prison that they find themselves in.

I have no idea. maybe some women are just afraid that no other man would ever take them and love them.
or
they're staying together for the kids.
but If that was me, I would not think twice. being abused physically and emotionally could affect and would affect the way you look at yourself.

They stay in bad relationships for so long that they forget what is normal. Somehow they convince themselves that this time its going to get better. Some of us learn from the first mistake and no longer allow ourselves to be doormats for anyone. Its all a matter of developing enough self-respect that you wont allow people to treat you that way.

I've often wondered that myself and I'm a male.I liken them to alcoholics & addicts. Only in the respect that they keep repeating the same mistakes, expecting different results. And that's ashame because even today as strange as it may seem, they're some good, honest, hard working men.I've seen this happen time after time mostly to women, but, to men to.If they're not treating you right. I say, don't waste your valueable time.MOVE ON! Your soulmate may be walking away as your banging your head against that brick wall...........AGAIN!!

Many people repeat history because it is a comfort zone. It's sad, but until the person realizes it is destructive behavior, they will repeat it.
