you can lose you plug up to a week or sometimes two beforee you have the baby.I have a year old and when I was pregnant I read everything you can think of about pregnancy. I remember an article about that and they said not to worry. I lost mine about 8 days befor I delivered my little bundle of joy.

I lost my mucus plug on a Tuesday night and went into labor on a Thursday morning. (Had a baby by Thursday night!)
Losing your mucus plug just signals that your body is preparing for labor. I'd look at the other signs of impending labor--
are you dialated? (if you are, you'll probably go sooner than later since it's your 1st...I was 1 cm),
what station are you at? (shows if the head is engaged...I was at -1 (so the head wasn't engaged),
are you effaced? (shows the cervix is thinning and getting ready...I was 60%)
Honestly, I know how hard it is to wait for your 1st baby--But get some sleep, get a pedicure, and relax! :)

It's been 18 years since I've had a baby, but I recall having a roommate in the hospital that was in there for that. The doctor told her there was a chance of infection, so wanted her to stay there the last 3 months!
You should probably call your doctor to confirm.
Congratulations!

Ohhh I'm so excited for you!!! Yes, it could be coming soon, in the next few days or week, most likely. If it takes on a pattern and they get closer in frequency and increase in strength, be sure to give your doctor a call or call the hospital and let them know. Especially if it is late at night so they have a chance to prepare! Good luck!

This means you are closer to the moment of being a MOM, just remember breath easy and don't scream to make the contractions worst. God Bless You!

At this point you should probably be seen by your obstetrician, just to make sure all is proceeding on schedule. Hang in there...it's almost time! Best of luck to you and your family!
