Nope. If you look closer at the tv listings, it's full of non-educational things and news isn't growing at all. If anything, it's getting cut back. Look at the quality of your news. It's not really news when they talk about Essie who lived to be 112 by going on walks with her dog, Didi.
If anything, reality tv is going to grow. Not very educational, but it occasionally makes the news when someone gets hurt!

You know, I can remember when those three stations were the ONLY TV there was! No cable; no satellite...just 'free' TV.
What a novelty it was!
My mom would not let us sit within 10 feet of our first color TV because she was afraid it would sterilize us.
There is no more 'free' TV.
It gets 'paid' for one way or another.

Actually I think the exact opposite. I think that TV will be nothing but porn and cartoons. But I'm all for either outcome.
